- There is no evidence of post-2000 shitlibbery at Bama. I marvel to read that ~90% of students identify as lgtbq at various northeastern schools, even accounting for girlsluts who are "bi". There is zero evidence of one fag or one dyke at Bama. I dont doubt they are there. But they have no presence, at all. Nor is there any Palestine / Israel stuff. No protests. No goths. No alternative lifestyle stuff at all. No Indians walking around campus, no chinks, no muslims. The only evidence of the twentyfirst century are cell phones, which of course are everywhere and in every kid's hand.

- The trad stuff is still heavily enforced. The first year men are finalizing pledgeship (I think 80% are greek), and they wear blazers and ties the whole weekend. The girls are all in fancy dresses paired with cowboy boots. The sloppiest dressed upperclassman are maybe in khaki shorts and golf shirts. Students arent wearing t-shirts or hoodies at all.

- There is a significant cohort of blacks. Id say maybe 15-20%, but segregation rules the day. There is really no interaction between blacks and whites. The black kids I saw move around in clusters, inhabiting a completely separate culture. There may be a few absolute white-acting blacks in the majority culture, but its pretty Jim Crow

- Degenerate drinking and sex are everywhere. Your kid is not going to do any academic work anywhere near a gameday weekend. Kids were talking about having gotten only a few hours sleep Friday night and were raging all Saturday. Best case, they sleep all Sunday and maybe wake up for Monday class. Work was not touched probably since wednesday.

- I think the Tide are legit title contenders. The QB is a playmaker. Scrambles to make something out of nothing. Finds second and third options. WR number 1 is a constant down field threat and seemed open whenever he wanted to be. RB is small but good. On defense they had front 7 pressure and a pick six. Biggest weakness is probably LB corps, and they did allow some runs into the secondary. Not a perfect team, but probably top 5. With the right breaks, they will go to the championship. Georgia will be their big test next month.

seems like a play they are making to keep it this way. in any regard, you don't "learn" anything in college esp post-AI, so the measure of its value must be other factors like establishing employment opportunities, signaling cultural fit, developing mating relationships

i think on these metrics it still clears the northern schools with 20% acceptance rates

for bama, only 18% of admits enroll. bama is at a real risk of losing paying students if they don't cast a wide net and let in nearly every dumb-dumb who applies.
