Democratic Socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani renewed his calls for the New York City Police Department to arrest Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this week as the Israeli leader visited the city to speak at the United Nations. This, of course, didn’t happen.
At the same time, the mayor is calling for Columbia University to reopen its gates, as if violent anti-Israel protests never happened there.
Columbia University closed its 116th Street gates to the public on Oct. 12, 2023, days after Hamas attacked communities across Israel. Nearly three years later, they remain closed. |
