Both are right; they’re referring to different senses of “discovered.”
- 1873: the star itself was first recorded/catalogued by Benjamin Apthorp Gould on April 29, 1873.
- 1961: Antoni Przybylski recognized that HD 101065 had an extraordinarily peculiar spectrum that did not fit normal stellar classification. That is the discovery that made it “Przybylski’s Star.” Modern astronomy papers describe the unusual nature of the spectrum as first noted/recognized by Przybylski in 1961.
There’s even a third date worth keeping separate: 1978, when Donald Kurtz discovered its rapid ~12-minute oscillations, making it the prototype/first recognized rapidly oscillating Ap star.
