Date: October 5th, 2026 12:04 PM Author: ferengi there's a nonprofit i'm two rounds into, next step is irl on the 14th, and there's an education company i'm anticipating getting to the second round this week for hopefully but who knows. nonprofit would be hybrid, other company fully remote but east coast hours so i'd have to roll out of bed at 6am. both would be around a $20k pay cut compared to my last job but about $160k more than zero ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
i also talked to a recruiter last week who said he'd pass me on to like 5 companies, those are all higher pay, and i had a screener i thought went well for a legal software company (lol) but haven't heard back and that was a week ago today
i am receiving $450/wk unemployment |

i never heard back from this manufacturing company i interviewed with in July where i got through all of the normal rounds and then the recruiter said "it sounds like you did a good job but they want you to talk to the boss for the final okay" so i talked to the director of eng and i guess he didn't like me because they completely ghosted me. i followed up with the recruiter two weeks later over text and got left on unread. |
