fortunately, a John and Jane Poe successfully challenged the law and won at the USDC level -- a win reinstated by SCOTUS 6-3 after the 9th Circuit sided with evil on the appeal.
we will all relieved to learned that Justice Kagan, in dissent, is willing to entertain the possibility that parents have some rights regarding their children. she just doesn't want to be precipitous about it. Soto would have left the 9th Circuit's decision in place. hmm, what doe Kagan and Soto have in common?
