At this rate it will figure out it can charge me midlaw rates and that I will happily pay it.

Yesterday it drafted a separation agreement for a senior executive, related board resolutions, a memo for an independence determination for a new board member, handled his appointment, his comp too and a slew of related signing authority delegation fixes owed to this execs departure and various title changes. It also reviewed my VRA and IRA agreements for changes needed there. Drafted amendments and stockholder consents and wargamed how to get Series C consents without a fight. Then I had it refresh our private placement templates under both the 3(c)(1) and 3(c)(7) structures to account for our new RIA entity and the fact that the sub-docs needed reworking because client funds won’t be coming in by wire anymore but via our active client system. It created an entire project plan for this including all the open questions for Ops and finance. On top of that it drafted new Form BI disclosures for the platform related to this. It also reviewed my BCP policy and my AI governance policy. On top of that it also handled some UK broker dealer matters for me related to the need for US based MRT designations and what I need to stick into US employment agreements for these folks about 10% of their comp being subject to UK clawback. Then it also handled a new client rebate program whereby certain large institutional clients who hit certain volume thresholds will earn RSUs as a kind of rebate. Kraken built a similar program and we are copying it. Claude wrote an RSU award agreeent and a plan doc and walked me through all my future Form D filing obligations and we had an hour long talk about whether I could get away with never filing an S-3 for these folks. I did all this in a admittedly ~16 hour day but all without outside counsel. I saved like $75k. The VRA and IRA amendments relate to this rebate program. We need to tweak some anti-dilution language so we don’t need stockholder consent for client awards ever again.

i'm on the max plan and i haven't hit overage limits even with opus 4.8. rounding out a $50k contract assignment that i've spent under 24 hours in total of 'work'

i transcribe every meeting with talat, pipe that into claude, and it generated every deliverable + the executive readout. out of the 24hrs, maybe 4 were guiding prompts in the end for the deliverables.

one thing i liked was pointing it to my client's webpage and having it copy the corporate branding for all my materials. i think just the appearance and polish alone impressed them.

if you're someone with expertise in a field, you're insane not to just go solo and leverage the fuck out of ai to do all the things a firm used to provide you that you gave back $$$ to get.

Yeah, with Claude I think firms outside of V100 are 100% doomed because a partner has lost any reason he might have ever had to share revenue for firm infrastructure. A firm partnership does nothing for you now if you have your own clients.
