Seems like Trump is going to continue bombing all of Iran's military installations and then once all the targets are exhausted, call it a day and go home.
The Iran camp seems to think this is hilarious because Trump can't unilaterally call of the war. But, wtf is Iran going to?Continue to send missiles at Arab countries?
If they escalate against the US, then Trump goes back with a bigger force and way more support domestically and abroad. |

Date: March 27th, 2026 10:19 PM Author: German pumo The Strait and their ability to destroy refineries, desalination plants, etc gives them a huge amount of leverage. And the US is basically the only country that can adequately punish them for using that leverage in a pirate-like manner.
Trump has already indicated that he sees the Strait and post-war Iran as a whole as being more the world's problem than ours. If he just washes his hands of the whole thing, then I think it's very plausible that Iran could successfully treat the Persian Gulf region like their own mafia territory- demand and get tolls, protection money, etc. And that's clearly what they intend to do- they've said as much.
And right countries like EU countries, Japan, etc will likely pay up- weakness and going along to get along is in their blood. Japan has reportedly already been paying tolls. |
