This is actually significant, since a lot of Germans, even in the mainstream parties, have been saying that re-starting Nord Stream could be on the table in any cease fire.
But it's now forbidden on the EU law level, and plenty of EU countries will oppose Germany ever restarting it, even when the war is over. And anything the EU does has to be unanimous. So it appears to be dead for good. |
