the U2 song, the Seal song, the countless marketing "tie-ins" with everything from fast food menu items to trapper keeper designs, etc.
to be honest, i never actually watched the film itself.

you nailed most of the memorable stuff in your OP. food tie-ins were huge. there was some tacit understanding that a tentpole movie was some kind of event when it started appearing in joint advertising campaigns with the biggest brands like coke or mcdonalds.
also, because people spent way more time around shopping malls and other retailers, you would see junky little toys and other half-assed branded stuff, particularly school supplies and junk food. whatever kids are fleetingly attracted to. basically the shit you perennially see for the 'minions' was this endless parade of disposable shit that just became part of your background noise. you would think it was weird today if burger king tried to upgrade you to a giant plastic avengers soda cup and wrapped your burger in avengers paper but back then it was expected.
also music videos with poorly spliced in clips from the movie or references to it. the pop songs tied in would become big hits.
