Everyone pretends this is fine bc they just want to play Nintendo Titles and they don’t want some weak underpowered handheld or a Full Console bc Nintendo is presumed DOA with those.
Mine is Forever Docked fwiw

This is a dumb comparison. Game Gear you had to buy new batteries every time (which were expensive), carry extras, etc.
Switch you just have to plug it in (hint - you're almost always next to a plug in).

Yeah we should only compare things that are Exactly the Same. You’re one of those faggots. “It has to be The Same.”
The point is that Switch 2 has a Ruinous battery life but no one complains bc they don’t take it anywhere . They don’t take it anywhere bc the battery life sucks.
Btw Game Gear you can also just plug in btw fwiw

It's not at all the same. You couldn't recharge the thing off of a wall plug, and you didn't have a wall plug everywhere you needed it in the sense that you do today.
Also, it used 6 AA batteries - so it cost teh equivalent of $15 to play the thing a few hours.
The Switch 2 costs literally less than a penny to recharge.
So yeah, if $15 per play vs .01 per play is the same to you, then yeah, htey're more or less the sam.e
