Thailand is fine but outside of Bangkok you'll want to learn the language. Thailand has a bad smog problem for one third of the year too. it is also getting very expensive from over tourism. Bangkok brand name hotels are $500/night in high season now -- which is the smog season so its strange.
I think Thailand is overrated from a century of amazing PR and Philippines is underrated.
I think Philippinos are bit more relaxed from being an island nation. Many moderately successful thais descend from chinese who moved there for commercial reasons. |
