Date: July 11th, 2015 6:16 PM Author: bistre area Hikvision 3MB IP cameras - they are chicom made, but you can get them on Amazon for under $90. Setup is a pain in the ass and took a while, but now that they are going they seem rock solid. Image quality is impressive. I am hooking them up to a gigabit POE switch so there's just a single cat5e to run.

I was speaking to a security dude recently and he recommended just having cameras on ground/entrance floor instead of using a home security surveillance company, said that's what he does.
