The marketing/trailers is all in on that “BWAMM BWAMM please be excited” thing and they are really flaunting that perfect RT score. But I think the actual film will be more understated and cerebral than that.

i don't get why everyone on xo dickrides this movie

it was just a pastiche of a24 tropes

a lot of good individual scenes but it just ended in the sort of unmotivated vague unpleasantness that plagues so many of the more elevated horror movies (see also--Pyewacket)

That said, certainly a well made movie and I'm excited for Longlegs
