"the perfect is the enemy of the good" and all that the off-ramp out of western medicine's primacy is in western and eastern integrated practices and a return to psychotherapy and spiritual work over rigid and overly-technical psychiatry, and many doctors are already moving to and considering this. the medical practice, away some from drug-makers and insurance companies, is one of the brighter spots of promise in the patchwork of professions in the US. |

Date: July 7th, 2025 7:38 PM Author: Pearl nibblets this is true but to counter that prescription guidelines changed from the older approach of regular prescription to what i suggest above. by all accounts it works very well for people responsible with it. a similar issue happened with barbiturates in the past, and benzodiazepines were invented as a less-harmful route to the same end. i've seen studies on newer experimental anxiolytics that have even less abuse potential than what we have at present. |
