It has JAMES HARDEN ahead of Shaq and Hakeem. A fucking journeyman who has been on four teams in four years and can't get anywhere in the playoffs no matter who is put around him. Dream (#19) won it all with Otis fucking Thorpe as the second option on the team. In fact, he went straight through prime Stockton and prime Malone to do it. That should tell you all you need to know. |

The stat isn't nearly complex enough to account for true impact on the game. Shaq and Hakeem put up their numbers being constantly double and triple teamed because if you didn't, they were going to score on you literally every single possession. Stockton and Malone put up good numbers, but they could be guarded straight up without completely going off and taking over a game.
Let's take a look at lebron too. Is there any fucking doubt that if you took all of his stacked superteams, many of which choked in the playoffs and some of which didn't even perform in the regular season had abysmal records compared to the players on them...take those teams, replace Lebron with Jordan, is there any fucking doubt that many of them would have won it all?
Let me put it another way. Is there ANY CONCEIVABLE UNIVERSE where Jordan takes home less than a gold from the olympics, unlike LeBronze James? |
