As she's getting off she notices a phone charger on the ground near someone else's seat. Taking her at her word here, she's then faced with a decision of what to do. If it's me, i don't touch the charger.

First, being in transit sucks enough, i'm not going out of my way to create additional issues in my life or obligations for myself. I would walk right past that thing and keep moving with my life.

The ONLY reason I would even think about stopping is if my phone was very low on battery and i'd forgotten a charger. Even then, I would keep walking out of fear of being accused of thievery.

Is it this girl's contention that she was motivated by being a good samaritan? According to her, the only action she took was having a private conversation with a "stewardess". If her intention was to find the owner and return the item, I believe she would have:

1) Attempted to return it upon exiting the plane to the gate. That's where all of the other people who'd just gotten off the flight would be hanging around.

2) Had the charger out and ready to return to the man. It was still in her bag even though she knew exactly which seat it belonged to having picked it up from the floor. The charger was still in her bag, and she didn't take it out or open her mouth until the guy started badgering her. If he were smarter, he would have just passively let her go to her seat and sit down. Then we'd know for sure.

Nevertheless, her actions are not consistent with a do-gooder trying to return a lost item to its rightful owner.

What's seems likely to me is that she picked it up off the ground in the aisle as she was walking off the flight with the intent to pass it off to a flight attendant. I might have done the same. If the flight attendant refused to take it, I feel like my obligation is over at that point. I'm not going to expend extra effort to go to the gate staff or track down the owner inside the airport. This is like a $5 item at best.

Getting on the flight, maybe I might briefly ask the people in the area if they lost a charger, but if some faggot aggressively started filming me, then fuck him.
