i got caught but didn't back out - i went forward and proclaimed that i was in love and had to be with this other woman, etc. but then i got sober and realized that i was still in love with GARY (who has been continuing to be intimate with gunner) in addition to the other girl (things never "faded" with her). it was awful because i was still really in love with the other girl but i had to dump her because i knew i had to get up in GARY's guts again.

it was just a really weird situation and honestly when i look back on it, it seems like a fever dream. i'm honestly amazed that i was doing all that stuff.

Also, I'm sure the married side chick who was sleeping with a married guy while his wife is pregnant has upstanding moral character. the other woman did wind up being really self-centered and selfish, which was something i grew to dislike about her. and she left behind her own 13 yo son in florida to come live with me. oh, and she also got knocked up when she was like 18 and she had a son who was like 20, and he was severely autistic and barely verbal. she'd abandoned him to his dad by the time he was like 5. at the time i thought this was all just fine, but WOMEN do not do any shit like this, and any woman who is willing to do it potentially has serious personality issues.

this is something you will not see through the fog of love, but you'll realize it later.

here is my advice to you, but i know you won't take it bc i wouldn't have: break things off with the subordinate at least for now. be straight with her: you have a young child and a wife, and at the same time you are in love with her. you need to sort this out. come clean to your wife. maybe you should move out of your house for a few months at least. be alone. go to therapy with your wife. revisit this in several months. you may be in a different headspace.
