We cannot do a war of attrition because a $5K drone destroying a $100 million F35 on the ground is a recipe for disaster. America must win a war within 60 days. We have lots of equipment in relatively good state of readiness, so we can probably do it, so long as we are not sneak-attacked and our equipment destroyed at the outset. America has relatively good intelligence watching other countries, so any sneak-attack would have to be made by internal elements with relatively low-tech weaponry.
