this guy makes like 125k (he is a fed) and his wife is a teacher, so she must make around 90-100k at least.
they have a nice house near annapolis, nothing super fancy though. guy called me almost in tears this morning asking if he could borrow some money. he has $100 in his checking account.
he consolidated card debt so he has a 2k/mo payment for that, but they ran their cards up again. so he is fucked.
i'm sure they are blowing money on plenty of horseshit they don't need, but this tells me that inflation has really fucked people who make a decent living and a few years ago would have felt comfortable. groceries and utilities are now squeezing this dood. he's talking about having to sell his house, his wife leaving him, etc.
fucked up shit, brothers.

sounds like drugs
that amount isn’t enough to solve any of his problems, but it’s enough to run from them for a while

Number one, where the fuck do teachers earn $90k-$100k? Number two, this dude is just a stupid goy who wastes his money on stupid goy shit. There are plenty of families who survive on a fraction of that income. You can't pin the blame on inflation. I mean, maybe if they just had to move and buy a house at 8% that cost double what it did just a year ago. But you don't go broke on a $200k+ salary because groceries cost a little more than they did a few years ago.

My rule if this ever happens is as follows.
Give them the money as a gift, making it VERY clear, in writing that they acknowledge, that (1) it's a gift and they don't have to and should not repay (2) I will not give or loan any more money every again under any circumstances and (3) they agree never to ask again.
