Former FBI agent Stuart Kaplan told media that the Manhattan shooter may have been a former employee in the same office building where the attack occurred.
Kaplan points out that the suspect "knew exactly where he wanted to be and where to go," including taking out the security guard almost instantly.
This has investigators focusing on whether the suspect’s background includes employment or any connections inside the building, which houses major firms like the NFL and Blackstone.
Authorities are still digging for a motive.
