I like the Jews. Like OP I knew very few of them growing up and then was stunned in college. I thought they were like this exotic thing that only existed as clusters of one or two in random places. Boy was I wrong.

Like I said above, I like the Jews. I work for a premonantly jew law firm and they treat me very well. Plus, no jew ever called me infidel, and tried to cut my head off and enslave my wife and daughter.

Somehow the fact that ivy league white people are 40% jews never occurred to me even reading xo (tbf, I was only on the CB back then). 80% of them came from the exact same background too-MUC professional doctor/lawyer/biz parents living in a stereotypical MUC suburb or area. It was really weird to come to college and realize I felt more in common with minorities than most of my fellow whites. At least some of them came from what I considered a "real" place

One day, I stayed indoors during recess (third grade or so) to play chess with a Korean, and two Jews. In fact, we had done that often, the four of us. I jokingly called Josh a "freckled Jew," his eyes lit up; he quickly turned to the other Jew and asked, "Did you hear what he said?" like a prospector who had just struck the mother lode. The other Jew answered, "Yup," the tone of his voice seemed to betray his thoughts: "We've got him by the tail, now, pinned to the wall, caught in the act, and WITH a witness (the Korean kid) no less." They both grew giddy and scurried off, precocious little warriors keen to trounce the anti-semitism they alone had perceived. Soon a teacher returned alone, pulled me aside, and would have me writing out several definitions to terms from the dictionary such as "prejudice," "bigotry," etc.
