Been sober for a month. Got my 1 month AA coin just now.

- Skin is clearing up, dark circles under my eyes are gone
- Blood pressure down significantly, I had hypertension and would feel my heart beat out of my chest when I was drinking, now I'm still in the high BP range but it's going down by the week
- Started running in my free time again
- Not vomiting when I eat more than a small portion anymore, GERD is gone
- Bruises and scars are fading
- Can take a solid shit
- Coworkers and friends have noticed a general improvement in my demeanor and wellbeing
- Exgf (who broke up with me over the alcoholism) is talking to me again. Dunno how that'll pan out
Overall, very worth it. I've made friends in AA, even went to a Halloween party with some dudes from AA. A friend of mine has been talking to me about my experience, and he's started going to AA as well. Keep coming back cuz it works if you work it and you're worth it :^) |
