I never use Doordash or Uber Eats or tons of other tech crap, but some products are unavoidable. It just "feels" off and that the experience is worse but I can't precisely articulate how. This sums it up pretty good, and it's going on with literally every tech product. It's sad that I really do strive to provide the best possible service to my clients as a real human and think creatively and sometimes work more than what my contract laid out doing hours of uncompensated legal work to get the result that they want, but for someone in tech this thought has never once occured to them, it's all about exponential growth of customer base and then fucking them raw to extract as much as they can from them. What really chuffs me is partly because of these apps menu prices have risen for regular customers too. They know we’ll pay it and the restaurants themselves get robbed on the delivery orders so they try to make it up elsewhere. |
