ND cobbled together a national schedule to try and survive this blackballing which started the USC and Navy (who was a powerhouse at the time) games.
All of these people involved are long dead but the independence has a strong tradition at ND. People like Doodikoff don’t care about tradition though and want everyone to sell out to the Big 2 conferences asap. |
