the white american ethnicity is not a race, it is an ethnicity. other white ethnicities include german, dutch, swedish, etc. they all fall under the white race umbrella.

similarly, chinese, korean, jap, etc. all fall under the oriental race because they all look basically the same.

They are mainly middle eastern and do not really “look” white anyway apart from the ones who are heavily mixed with Europeans.
