Hoodie bro flashed his piece and orange man even looked down at it, so he knew. Orange man tests the guy anyway and gets his hat slapped off. At that point, he should have understood this dood had reflexes.
He probably should have cut and run at that point, but instead he made the fatal mistake of throwing that punch, with no plan B in case hoodie man blocked the punch. When he failed to connect, that's when he finally made the decision to get out of town, but it was too late.
The question is why did he throw the punch? Was it just bad judgment, or did he have reason think hoodie man was gonna shoot anyway, and he thought this was his only chance to disarm him? That's my guess as to what occurred. Hoodie man had his right hand up in the air, nowhere near his hip. If that punch had connected it would have done the trick.

Furthermore, I think it's worth noting that he flashed the gun before using his fists. He wasn't afraid to use his fists, and he didn't actually draw the gun until orange man threw that haymaker. Depending on what orange man said, I might have shot his ass too after he threw that punch. I would have thought "this guy is too stupid to deserve life," and the only question I would ask myself is whether I need to (or should) be the person who deprives him of it. |
