this was patched, but the game's BMX bikers complained, so the developers repealed the patch. the BMX bike is actually the quickest way to finish some of the game's weekly 'time trials,' though not many people use it for that purpose, since it does take some effort to learn how to use the glitch without immediately crashing.

GTAO, structurally, is a bundle of hundreds of different mini-games and missions crammed together into a common framework. this leads to a lot of bizarre incidents. for example, earlier this year, the game added a new type of properties (mansions) for players to purchase.
the mansions themselves were added to areas of the game map which had previously been unoccupied. however, different areas of the map have different spawn points for the in-game animals. in this case, one of the mansions was placed on top of a spawning area for rabbits.
the spawn was not removed, which meant that the rabbits spawned in, the game's hit detection killed the rabbits (because a mansion was sitting on top of them), and played the rabbit death sound effect, which is a high-pitched squealing noise.
then the respawn timer would kick in, and the rabbits would spawn again in a few seconds, repeating the cycle. this meant that players visiting their mansions would be greeted by the sound of a bunch of rabbits being killed over and over again.
this was not patched for a few weeks. |
