Here's what I'm seeing:

- Trump is threatening to scrub the Federal bureaucracy of "poor performers."

- Shitlib bureaucrats think they can turn the tables on Trump by giving poor performance ratings to conservatives occupying government jerbs

- The expectation is that Trump will end up firing all the people most loyal to him - people who bombed their performance ratings during the last rating period when Biden was POTUS.

I'm pretty sure I know how conservatives can resist this, but I'm going to watch for more signs.

Yes, but savvy managers can use performance as pretext if they start early enough in the performance period. I mistakenly thought all of DoD had performance periods that ran through October, but it looks like many if not most run through the end of April. That means a whole fuckload of those folks are just 2 months into the current rating period, and it will terminate just about 3 months after Trump takes office. Trump will just be getting his cabinet appointments all lined up when these people get dinged in the system for low ratings.

Very few lawyers know how to steer people like this through the system, and the system is not keyed up to handle the volume of litigation this could produce. 75% of these actions could stick just because people miss filing deadlines for administrative appeals.

They didn't "abandon" shit. They got useful data on a ton of people who were reported by their hair-brained shitlib co-workers.
