He takes off for every religious holiday—Yom Kippur, Eid, Diwali, even obscure ones like “Celtic Tree Day.”
When I mentioned it to HR, they said, “We can’t discriminate, Evan. You should know better as a manager. Religious freedom.”
Meanwhile, I’m covering for him every shift.
Today, during another double shift, I saw him post on Instagram: “Grindset is a state of mind 💪.” He was at a concert.
Cleaned up the store alone, then whispered, “Yes, friend. This is fine.” |
