The Ryzen AI chips are ass because you can never allocate more than 50% of your RAM to the iGPU. And that's the only benefit they bring: the ability to put more RAM on a GPU. Actual performance is stagnant. It's a mobile design that doesn't scale up apparently, because AMD has NOTHING in the pipeline.

Intel Nova Lake is going bust their holes with an iGPU that competes with discrete graphics cards. Nvidia's holes might even get busted if Intel can make CUDIMMs run fast enough. It only costs Nvidia $50 to put 24gb of RAM on a video card it sells for $2k. The memory modules literally cost $2 per 2gb and Nvidia is selling this shit at 100x markup.

get the fuck out of here. it will be a minimum of 10 years before an igpu can equal the performance of the cards nvidia is selling for $2000. if you mean an igpu might be able to compete with a discrete laptop gpu like a 4050, ok. but that's 1/10 the performance of a 5090.

Bro you're talking to NSAM he doesn't actually understand any of what he's saying. He's been prattling on about igpus for instance for probably two years now and still doesn't understand they occupy a totally different niche than anyone running a dedicated GPU for AI purposes.

Nova Lake's CPU tile reportedly features up to 52 cores, comprised of Coyote Cove P (performance) cores and Arctic Wolf E (efficiency) cores.

Early details on Nova Lake's architecture imply the chipset will have a hybrid integrated GPU that combines Intel's Xe 3 and Xe 4 graphics architectures on the integrated graphics tile.

According to well-known Intel leaker Jaykihn, the Xe 3 architecture is expected to handle graphics rendering, while the Xe 4 section of the tile will be used for display and media operations.

This could offer stronger integrated graphics power to Nova Lake systems, potentially negating the need for a discrete GPU.

While Intel has made serious strides with its discrete Arc GPU business, the company has also made powerful claims about its integrated graphics performance, particularly on mobile platforms.

The split graphics architecture on Nova Lake could indicate a switch from discrete GPUs to integrated graphics, even on desktop.

does intel no longer name their development projects after random coastal towns in oregon like nehalem or garibaldi? they need a project yachats or seal rock.
