wake up feeling terrible knowing a full day of work is ahead.

meditate for half an hour in the morning but i still feel like shit.

sometimes i just skip meetings without any explanation because i don't like meetings.

tried working out during lunch for a while but that didn't make much of a difference.

this week i'm gambling on the stock market to distract myself from work.

i WFH btw

There is no solution to being an anxietymo other than MAYBE eliminating almost all stress from your life, but this is pretty much impossible and without those stressors you will probably switch to intense existential angst. It's not you either, it's the modern world. People aren't adapted to the kind of slow drip cortisol rush you're experiencing. I wish I could tell you otherwise, but while my life did improve significantly when I eliminated my stressful job and commute, it's still borderline unbearable to live with the anxiety.

I know this is my answer to everything, but it really works:

-- lift

-- do cardio

-- eat well

-- sleep enough

-- take a ton of vitamin D and zinc

The worse your anxiety or depression, the harder you should workout. It's hard to have a sense of impending doom about white collar work when you spend 10-20 minutes a day with your heart rate at 200bpm running as hard as you can (distance or sprints doesn't even matter, for this purpose), and regularly put a life threatening amount of weight on your back or chest.

I saw a post recently saying the real benefit of lifting was that you sleep better and I thought that made a lot of sense

A huge problem with White collar work is that your mind is worn out and tired while your body remains fully rested + ready to go. they are not matched. this wrecks your sleep

I would suggest that you find a therapist who uses cognitive behavioral therapy and maybe a psychiatrist who can prescribe anti-anxiety meds. Also make sure to eat well, exercise, and get enough sleep. If none of those things work, then try sex with men for money.
