I'm an independent, not a Dem, and I vividly recall Bush giving a speech before Congress - right when he first started selling the planned invasion - in which he raised the specter of Iraqi drones flying over New York City, releasing poison gas or biological weapons.
I remember thinking at the time that it was the most bad faith, ridiculous military scenario imaginable (where will these drones launch from? how will they get past the fact that biological and chemical weapons have proven inefficient on a large scale?) and I was amazed that so many idiots bought into what was obviously some con job.
Sorry if you didn't have the insight and common sense to see that, but I did.
