Date: June 17th, 2026 5:55 AM Author: I said RESEMBLE vultures there actually was collaboration and this is a sticky issue but the milieu of the era is very important. the nazis in the middle east weren't the SS guys coming to talk about aryan racial superiority but the affable foreign office guys talking about anti-colonial solidarity and german government loans at low interest rates. the iranians and syrians both took german money and iirc some faction of the zionist commission in israel was of the same persuasion and frankly if i was a jew in spain or denmark and i saw for myself what the buckwild jews in weimar were getting up to i'd probably start thinking about how to get away to my own state as nothing and i mean nothing good was going to come of that. yes let's have a republic with hindenburg and von papen and a broad conservative government in charge while Berlin and a few of the other cosmopolitan areas are filled with a sort of apocalyptic, consumptive degeneracy unlike the deutsch world had ever seen prior with history in general the viewer in the future takes their perfect sense of hindsight over what was going on for granted. for the death camps and such there was no knowledge of this in large parts of the world well after the freeing of europe and many didn't believe it well after that so i don't really think it's fair to judge the jews on collaboration with german sources (not a monolith anyhow; the foreign office and the economic ministry were notoriously independent and more traditionally conservative and had to be reigned in by party apparatchiks at several points) anyway just being fair and in that same spirit there are plenty of other reasons to bash that camp |
