Generally, Costco’s is a run to pickup household staples. I look at the clothes and the other stuff on offer, like their generators, but meh.

And most at a decently high quality bar. I get my (from farmer pasture-raised) eggs and (grassfed, raw) dairy elsewhere but wouldn't mind if I had to stick with the kirkland brand. By default almost everything is organic, which is a big step up from anywhere else at that price point.

Meat is the same way. On your more premium cuts like ribeye Costco’s may have steaks for like $1-$2 more per pound and you have to buy like 6 of them. Or you can get a competitive price per pound, but you have to buy an entire rib rack and hand cut your steaks. Grocer on the other hand runs sales and you can get a good buy if you are willing to be flexible. They also have prime grade stuff like chuck roast, Dino ribs, Picanha, and dry aged ribeye, etc. Eggs they may be close on, but again, you have to buy like 36 of them.

Costco’s is largely a complete joke in grocery. Sometimes they have things like an entire tenderloin and that can be a good buy if you want to feed a lot of people, or the aforementioned rib rack, and I’ve gotten lamb shanks there before too.
