Do you think people who enjoy horror movies are more likely to be psychopaths? What does it say about a person if they like horror

i watched slugs (1988) not long ago. goofy, gory trash; mostly entertaining, though entirely obvious.

There's so much, especially depending on how you define 'trash.'

For stuff that's well made but off the beaten path a little, then something like The Burning or Just Before Dawn (my two favorite 80s slasher movies), or the original I Spit On Your Grave (rough watch though), or The Driller Killer

Getting a little further afield, stuff like the Italian cannibal and zombie movies, even the bad ones, or the original Toolbox Murders

Going out further still we start to leave the realm of 'watching this entirely unironically' and you get to stuff like HG Lewis' splatter films like The Wizard of Gore and Blood Feast, or Joel Reed's Bloodsucking Freaks, which are fun in their own odd way.

And then eventually we reach the realm of shot on video and similar stuff, where the appeal is no longer the movie in and of itself, but the existence of the finished product as evidence of someone's bizarre outsider vision. For that I offer stuff like the films of Andy Milligan, super weird stuff like Black Devil Doll from Hell, or this, which is literally Creepshow but remade by a bunch of kids with a camera

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7ZnlH7BKfk

At this point, you're not watching to have the genre thrills of a horror film, but to bear witness to jaw-dropping oddity.

Tubi is owned by Fox; it's a totally free ad supported service (which amounts to maybe 5-6 minutes of ads over a 90 minute movie, so not bad).

It isn't just horror, there's tons of stuff, but almost all of the old stuff that's on Shudder is also on Tubi.
