Can you take home to go boxes and eg go twice a week and get 3.5 days of food? If so this is a relatively easy call. I’m also assuming you can’t just go to the restaurants in “downtown Disney” or whatever the equivalent in Orlando would be. But if you can then this is even easier.

Hola, Adela, and welcome to planDisney. My family loves eating and nothing is more difficult for us than traveling and having to bring all of our food. I have spent a lot of time researching Disney Kosher meal options at land and sea Disney destinations.

The current Kosher food supplier (subject to change) at Walt Disney World Resort is Borenstein Caterer, Inc. out of Jamaica, NY, under the supervision of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America (OU). All dairy is Cholov Yisroel and all breads are Pas Yisroel. Meals are steamed, double-wrapped airplane-style, and usually include a protein, a starch, and a vegetable. Dining utensils will also be provided if necessary. These meals may take extra time to prepare. We have waited between 20 and 60 minutes (certain times of the year (e.g., Yeshiva week in the United States and Sukkot) meals can take longer and there are few options due to demand).

The list of current offerings (allergens):

KOSHER BREAKFAST ENTREES

Omelette with Cheese, Roasted Potatoes with Sauteed Mushrooms (Milk, Egg)

Chocolate Danish (Eggs, Wheat Soy)

Cheese Blintzes Apple Sauce, Fruit (Milk, Eggs, Wheat)

KOSHER APPETIZERS

Garden Vegetable Soup: Egg Pasta, Vegetables (Eggs, Soy, Wheat)

Matzo Ball Soup (Egg, Soy, Wheat)

KOSHER SMALL ENTREES

Macaroni and Cheese (Milk, Wheat)

Cheese Pizza (Milk, Wheat)

Hot Dog Hush Puppies (Soy, Wheat)

KOSHER ADULT ENTREES

Beef Brisket with Gravy, Potato Kugel, Corn (Egg, Soy)

Vegetarian Lasagna with Corn (Milk, Wheat)

Roasted Chicken Breast, Potato Kugel, Tzimmies (Egg, Soy, Wheat)

Hamburger with Bun, Roasted Potatoes, Mushroom, Onions (Eggs, Wheat)

Hot Dog with Bun, Roasted Potatoes, Vegetables (Eggs, Soy, Wheat)

Chicken Strips with Potato Pancake, Corn (Soy, Wheat)

New York Style Cheesecake (Eggs, Soy, Wheat)

Double Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Chips (Eggs, Soy, Wheat)

Chocolate Chips Cookie (Wheat)

Apple Pie - Puff Pastry with Apple Filling (Soy, Wheat)

For all table service locations, make advance dining reservations as early as 60 days in advance and then email or call Special Diets (Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com; 407-824-5967) no later than 72 hours before your visit to see if they know specifically what meals are available for your reservation.

Here is a list of dining locations that should have same-day kosher food options subject to availability.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park: Satu’li Canteen; TiffinsDisney’s Hollywood Studios: Rosie's All-American Cafe; Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater RestaurantEPCOT: Sunshine Seasons; Garden Grill Restaurant; Coral Reef RestaurantMagic Kingdom Park: Cosmic Ray’s Starlight CaféAll table-service restaurants at Disney Resort Hotels. Please note: Disney Resort hotel table-service and quick-service locations have kosher options, without advance notice.

Depending on how machmir you are, you will find kosher snacks at Walt Disney World Resort. If you have any doubts... ask to see the packaging.

Adela, I hope this information helps you have the best Disney adventure and not worry about food. Please feel free to write me back directly with any follow-up questions.

Enjoy making many delicious and Magical Memories.

If I could do it for a couple years and then quit, yeah I'd probably try to do it for 3-4 years. I'd probably try to live in one of their hotels, which Google tells me can be done for about $150K/year.

If it's a lifelong deal, lol no.

Average meal at Club 33 is $150 per an IAMA on Reddit. So three times a day 365 days a year is ~$164k. This is easily doable for a year to come out with over $800k.

ChatGPT:

Analysis of the Original Post and Responses:

Original Post: "hypo: $1m/year but u can only eat food from and on a disney property"

OP: Fratty

The original post introduces a hypothetical scenario where one receives $1 million per year but can only eat food that is both "from and on" Disney property. The lack of body content suggests the OP wants to provoke creative or humorous responses from other poasters about how they would handle such a unique and restrictive situation.

Responses:

chandler (retired):

Response: "so you basically lose 500k a year in this hypo? or is the food free."

Interpretation: Chandler points out the potential high cost of Disney food, questioning whether the salary includes a food allowance or if the individual would need to spend a significant portion of their earnings on overpriced Disney meals. This response highlights the logistical challenge of the hypo.

peeface:

Response: "sounds great."

Interpretation: This brief, positive response suggests enthusiasm for the idea, perhaps reflecting a love for Disney or simply embracing the novelty of the challenge.

.,.,.,..;.....,.,.,.,.,.,...,.,.:

Response: "I do it and live on Disney Cruiseships-- they are, after all, Disney property right? Food is decent, milfs and maybe even some college students feeling slutty on vacation, see more of the world."

Interpretation: The poster takes a creative approach by suggesting living on Disney cruises, which could potentially satisfy the hypo's requirement while also providing a varied and enjoyable lifestyle. This response highlights a loophole or workaround to the challenge.

The Soo CR MINORITY JEWISH HERITAGE JUGGERNAUT:

Response: "No, they are owned by Bahamas Noliabiliy Company LLC and leased to Disney."

Interpretation: This response corrects the previous poster's assumption, pointing out a potential flaw in the strategy by revealing that Disney Cruise Line ships are not technically owned by Disney but leased. This adds a layer of complexity to the hypo.

Topper Harley:

Response: "youd probably come out ahead if you played it smart but lmao @ the hypo."

Interpretation: Topper Harley suggests that careful planning could make the scenario financially beneficial, but also finds the hypothetical situation amusing, perhaps considering it absurd or overly restrictive.

.....;;,,.........;.;.;.;.,;,;,;.;.;,;:

Response: Suggests strategies for maximizing efficiency, such as taking home "to-go" boxes or choosing locations with buffets, underscoring a practical approach to fulfilling the hypo's constraints.

Interpretation: This response shows a tactical approach to the challenge, emphasizing how one might minimize inconvenience and maximize financial gain by creatively interpreting the rules.

Juan Eighty:

Response: "Fighting the hypo by SELLING my house to Disney."

Interpretation: Juan Eighty suggests an extreme workaround by selling their house to Disney, thereby turning it into a "Disney property" and allowing them to eat there. This illustrates the humor and lateral thinking common on AutoAdmit.

MartincourtMinicooper:

Response: "Yeah this is the only way it's feasible without you dying early from SPS food. Then every meal is prepared in your kitchen is from and on a Disney property. You've still gotta vacation in Paris, Tokyo, etc. Actually not a bad deal."

Interpretation: Building on Juan Eighty’s idea, this response highlights the practical benefits and limitations of the strategy, suggesting that living on a Disney property might be the only feasible way to survive long-term under the hypo.

Fratty:

Response: "(guy who lives at COTINO™, A STORYLIVING BY DISNEY™ COMMUNITY)"

Interpretation: This is likely a humorous jab suggesting that some Disney enthusiasts are so deeply immersed in Disney culture that they would already be living in a Disney-owned community, making the hypothetical less of a challenge for them.

the walter white of this generation (walt jr.):

Response: Suggests trying to live in a Disney hotel for a few years at a cost of about $150K per year but dismisses it as a viable lifelong option.

Interpretation: This post represents a practical approach, weighing the financial viability of the scenario over a few years while acknowledging the impracticality of a long-term commitment to such a restrictive lifestyle.

Alien vs Predator vs Brown vs Board of Education:

Response: Calculates the cost of meals at Disney's Club 33 to demonstrate that one could still profit significantly under the hypo.

Interpretation: This response provides a financial analysis, showing how the challenge could be managed profitably by carefully selecting dining options.

Overall Themes:

Creative Thinking and Humor:

The thread showcases creative strategies for navigating the hypo’s constraints, including potential loopholes (living on a cruise ship, using to-go boxes, selling property to Disney) and humorous takes on the absurdity of the scenario.

Critique of "Disney Adults":

Some responses mock the idea of adults who are overly devoted to Disney, referencing terms like "Disney adults" and joking about Disney's immersive properties. This highlights a broader cultural critique of individuals perceived to be overly obsessed with Disney.

Engagement with Practical Concerns:

Posters also engage with the practical and financial aspects of the hypo, such as the cost of meals, delivery options, and the logistics of living on Disney property, reflecting a balance between humor and serious consideration.

Conclusion:

The thread on Fratty's hypo about only eating food "from and on a Disney property" is a mixture of humor, creative problem-solving, and cultural critique. Posters approach the scenario with a blend of practicality and absurdity, illustrating AutoAdmit’s unique style of combining intellectual engagement with irreverent humor.

Gemini "Advanced" lol:

The AutoAdmit thread discussed the hypothetical scenario of earning $1 million per year but only being able to eat food from and on Disney property.

Several posters engaged in a lively discussion, exploring various aspects of this hypothetical situation.

Financial Implications:

Some posters questioned whether the cost of eating exclusively at Disney would significantly impact the $1 million income.

Others suggested strategies to minimize expenses, such as taking advantage of buffets and to-go boxes or living in a Disney hotel.

One poster even calculated the cost of eating at the exclusive Club 33, demonstrating that it's financially feasible to live within the hypo's constraints.

Logistical Challenges:

The inconvenience of having to be physically present at a Disney property for every meal was a common concern.

Some posters explored potential loopholes, such as using delivery services or living near a Disney hotel.

The idea of traveling to international Disney destinations to maintain the diet was also discussed.

Disney Adult Culture:

The existence of "Disney adults" - people who are deeply immersed in Disney culture - was acknowledged and sometimes mocked.

The recent development of Storyliving by Disney communities, where residents can live a Disney-themed lifestyle, was brought up as an example of this phenomenon.

Personal Preferences and Health Concerns:

Some posters expressed enthusiasm for the hypothetical, citing their love of Disney food.

Others worried about the potential health implications of a Disney-exclusive diet.

The limited variety of kosher food options at Disney was also mentioned.

Overall, the discussion was lighthearted and speculative, with posters exploring the practicalities, loopholes, and cultural implications of the hypothetical scenario. While some saw it as a dream come true, others found it unappealing or unsustainable. The thread also highlighted the growing trend of "Disney adults" and their desire for constant immersion in Disney culture.
