So my grandmother died recently (grandfather has been dead for years) and left behind all of her assets to be distributed evenly between her children. Those children were my aunt, my uncle, and my mother. Problem is, my mom is dead. Given that I'm my mother's only child, I figured I had the right to claim her share but my aunt and uncle are absolutely uncooperative and are shutting me out of the entire process, hoping to split everything between themselves. Do I have any recourse? I have a consultation with a lawyer next week.
