I get what he was trying to do- make it about an issue that most Americans can agree about the importance of, make the war seem fighting, etc. The problem is that Vance basically admitted that we haven't gotten rid of the nuclear threat with the war so far, and it's hard to see anything happening to change that.
Sending Delta Force into the Isfahan facility to dig for the uranium for a couple of weeks would be basically impossible- that facility is on the outskirts of a city of 1.5 million, with 2 IRGC divisions stationed there.
So we bomb their power plants, maybe their oil facilities, but that still won't stop their nuclear program, especially the facility at Pickaxe Mountain, buried under a few hundred feet of granite.
