Pitt’s signature role is Tyler Durden who is just an arch chad who dgaf. Tristan Ludlow from xo LOTF is along the same vein. His non-dgaf characters are eminently forgettable. Nobody cares about 7 years in Tibet.
Cruise is a Short Chad-esque character so hes experienced the full gamut of emotions, so he’s a better actor. Serious actors like DDL have to torture themselves artificially to experience the ignominy of the Short imo. People wonder why Tall Guys suck at acting and it’s the same reason they suck at writing. No inner life to tap into. When Tall guys talk you can see the results on this board — 70% of the time they just state their heights. People wrote Crichton’s books for him bc he was 6’9. Also I’m not even sure how Short Cruise actually is, I think he just dated Tall women so people think he’s 4’11. |
