While it is on one hand heartening that in this year Bo Wineguard is calling Bronze Age Pervert an anti racist cuck on the tl on the other this is the problem I’m talking about…that Bo and others mean for these truths not just to be spoken on here and covertly or indirectly translated into spirit or policy but to be translated into an explicit political program to counter wokeness, DEI or the basis of affirmative action etc ; and my point is this is a mistake and actually impossible.

HBD or pointing out inherent racial differences is a good counter to some of the claims made to justify wokeness in argument on here or maybe even in truth but won’t translate as you think into a political program. “Racial disparities exist; it’s because of discrimination/slavery/theft”… “no it’s because of organic results owing to inherent differences between races and groups.” Sounds good? It’s even mostly the truth. It’s also a mistake for politicians or bureaucrats or that kind of public figure to say. Why?

First of all the groups that are “with less” won’t be pacified by this. Quite the contrary. Second, the groups who are high achieving naturally or own things and who are now disadvantaged by wokeness also won’t accept this for all kinds of reasons. There is vanity: many won’t like to hear they have what they have by anything other than “hard work.” There’s vain empathy: in fact I think it’s more likely you’ll have majorities agree to racial redistribution and affirmative action to “correct natural wrongs” than that they’ll accept their “natural due.” In fact Rawlsian moralism that is now widely adopted says just this.

But more fundamentally it is impossible in a mixed state of whatever kind (racial religious etc mix) to openly declare that the differences in outcomes are due to inborn differences and survive as a democracy. While I don’t care for democracy and would be happy to see a Gobineau style racial dictatorship in place, these misguided people think you can Rock the Voot with something like Gobineau or other type scientific racism. What would result if politicians openly started to say these things is vast public outrage, tumults, etc…but in fact it won’t even get there.

Everyone except intellectuals knows it won’t get there. Woke isn’t in fact accepted at this moment because people believe the left’s justifications for it. A majority probably already rejects it on grounds of racial equality; a powerful minority accepts it because they hate white people or because they hate inequality as such —and they’ll continue to hate inequality whatever its origins. Neither side will be persuaded by the HBD case and both will reject any politician foolish enough to make these arguments. The number of people who accept wokeness because they genuinely believe disparities are due to systemic racism is tiny and from among them those who’ll be convinced by your IQ graphs tinier. Everyone will sense you are promoting a truth that if made political can only be sustained by force; it will be rejected before it gets a hearing.

By contrast everything you want would anyway be achieved if race blind policies were genuinely proposed and pursued; and a large number of people including intelligent or influential people are primed to accept this position. It isn’t at all true that “cuckservative” politicians have tried this in USA. Such measures would include a stop on any kind of public census or statistics by race, an agreement that race can’t be any object of consideration in govt or even public discussion; social disapproval of self identification by race, a legal ban on racial and ethnic nepotism, and no govt recognition of chauvinist or ethnic or religious or race based private groups or organizations. Race totally absent from public discourse. Think that sounds unlikely? You’re probably right but getting people to agree races are unequal by nature is far more unlikely.
