Far fewer fatalities than eg Go-Karts let alone just pools and beaches. By far the biggest killers at amusement parks are wave pools and similar drowning opportunities.

It was part of Six Flags’ “premiumization” plan to bring in fewer people to parks but get them to spend more. CEO Selim Bassoul complained in 2022 that Six Flags had turned into “cheap day care centers” for teenagers and said the company wanted to “migrate…a little bit from what I call the Kmart, Walmart to maybe the Target customer.” |

Was a good time. They had a dozen or so rides for little kids all in the same area. Also had a playground area that was large for the kids to play. Ended up staying there from like 9-2 and kids missed their nap. It did cost like $100+ for all of us to go in despite the discounts and we spent another $60+ on (shitty) food and snacks. |
