It seems that there are two schools of thought on this issue, both with their own risks. You could pursue the Fleshlight strategy and create a James Bond level second identity while traveling to the other side of the country. But, aside from the difficulties involved, if the girl still manages to find out you're married, it seems like she could blow up on you, with unpredictable consequences.
On the other hand, you could lay it all out there and explain that you have an unhappy marriage that you can't leave because of kids or whatever. But then you're taking away part of the woman's plausible deniability and she may out you anyway. Maybe even before you've made anything happen.

Before you cheat have an honest Come to God talk with her and lay this out. Be 100% honest but don't attack her. Explain exactly what you think is wrong. Let her voice her opinion and don't argue. You two should be on the same team if you're married. Cheating deprives her of the opportunity to correct these issues.
If you've already done this and she's still a fat lazy pig and you have kids together or whatever then go for it.
