That's about as clear cut an illustration of what the Espionage Act forbids. In this case, the photos were literally transmitted to our adversaries, and the leaker shared information about the overall readiness of the troops. The entire purpose was to weaken the effectiveness of our military and put lives at risk. What's the point of telling our adversaries our troops have no food or fuel?
