It was the most expensive album ever made at the time and possibly ever. They rented out Dodger Stadium and paid the UCLA marching band to record there.
I don't know if the record is good or bad. It still sold millions of copies. Rumors was kind of an accident. |

While bloated with way too many mediocre tracks, Mellon Collie produced so many hit singles that they had to stop promoting them. It was a tour de force. Also literally sold more copies than Tusk iirc. |
