The UBI will be paid in government cryptocurrency, which will be the only legal medium of exchange unless you hold a special license (and you won't). You'll shop at stores that accept the cryptocurrency. All apartments and houses will rent for the same amount, and occupancy will be decided by AI. Sometimes the AI will assign two families to the same apartment, but that's just is how it is. Biometric scanners will prevent unauthorized residency.
The AI may assign you a job, in which case you will receive no additional compensation, but failing to perform your assigned job will be a felony. The AI will sometimes assign you a job many hours travel away from your assigned housing for no apparent reason. |
