FBI was all like 'jfc rednecks' and went in and arrested everyone anyway and just called it "conspiracy to aid and abet an attempted kidnapping" or whatever.
Wilmer talks about this story basically like she's TRUMP taking a 5.56 NATO round to the face, until hecklers in the crowd tell her to move it along. |

Date: July 22nd, 2024 11:17 AM Author: Onyx rough-skinned space You see these cases every now and then, and to be fair (I guess) to the FBI, it's usually a cooperator (an informant, usually one with his own legal problems), not the FBI proper, that creates and promotes the idea of getting his group involved in some crazy shit they normally wouldn't get involved in, so that the FBI can "thwart" the plan and the cooperator can get a mega-5K.
I call them "enterprising cooperator" cases. This one was hilarious because the non-cooperators would literally just sit around and smoke pot if you left them alone for like 10 minutes, so the Enterprising Cooperator had to stay on everyone's ass constantly to keep his fake conspiracy moving. |
