The State of AAA gaming is a house built on sand, the tide rising ever higher. A crash is coming.
And in the West, the madmen reign supreme. Obsessed with the grotesque spectacle of Engineering for its own sake, they pour their energies into scaffolds of vanity rather than solid foundations. They fashion engines that glimmer with promises of photorealism and volumetric wonders but falter under the simplest test of play. Ray tracing beams outward into worlds bereft of heart. Procedural generation carves landscapes vast but empty. The Western mind, entranced by the hum of its machines, forgets the soul that animates the craft. The product is not a product; it is a place, a memory, a dream—but they have forgotten this truth. They are not builders of joy but Engineers of spectacle. Their pipelines are endless; their shaders are intricate. Yet they cannot stitch together a world that breathes. They know how to pack teraflops with meaningless calculations but not how to make a character’s eyes glisten with life. Their obsession with rendering subsurface scattering eclipses the need for dialogue that matters, for stories that linger. And so they churn out games that are simulacra, shiny facades collapsing under the weight of the first bug report.
They sell these hollow products with preorders spun from lies, gilding failure with promises of exclusive content and early access. When the games emerge, they are broken—riddled with bugs, drenched in the half-finished sweat of rushed development. And the madness deepens: DLC to fix what was broken, microtransactions to exploit what was already sold. Western malfeasance cloaks itself in terms like live services and monetization strategies, but these are the words of thieves cloaked in the garb of Engineers.
The Western titan has forgotten its craft. The joy of creation is lost to the noise of profit. These madmen seek to conquer the medium with brute force, forgetting that the greatest games—the ones that endure—are born not from rendering Engines but from love, care, and the spark of the human soul. The West must learn again to build not for the numbers but for the hearts that will inhabit their worlds. Until then, they are architects of their own ruin, kings of a crumbling kingdom.

If you want to play the entire back catalog of Xbox including Lost Odyssey and Panzer Dragoon Orta then sure. Gamepass alone is trash. Maybe you break even if you Game for like 1,000k hours/year. It's $240/year now iirc.
If you dgaf about PS5's handful of exclusives then it's nbd, either or.
I have grown weary of PC gaming acolytes. Same people loved their gamecubes and PS2s while I was playing Half Life 2, Diablo 2, Baldur's Gate 2. PC used to have actual exclusives and Better Games. These idiots/zoomers are late to the PC party. I don't want to be on computer all the time because it looks/seems like I'm masturbating.
if you want to play both Halo and fucking Horizon Zero Dawn then PC is it.
