Date: April 17th, 2026 7:48 PM Author: cowgod I care too. the difficulty is part of the game. it's a damn important part. sure, the player can tailor the difficulty himself but he doesn't know how easy "easy" is, it's just a guess. I've played Bad Games on easy before. Like if I play a Doom game I am putting that shit on Easy because Carmack has never even played a game before. it's all about Engineering for some people.
with that said the difficulty of metaphor and maybe idk SMT and persona maybe (not sure) is a cut above anything square does. one of the reasons I quit metaphor after the demo was that it felt like I was missing something about the battle system or that I was supposed to be Grinding, idk.
for some reason btw non-Genesis console games were easy as fuck like late SNES through PS2 era. Millennials were coddled by Games. SNES had some challenging Titles early on with F-Zero King League and the Pilotwings late game helicopter shit. late-SNES stuff like Chrono Trigger was almost insultingly easy. a few exceptions such as N64 dream team games, getting Lost in Duke Nukem 64 or Turok basically forever, shit like that. I suck at tank control survival horror fwiw. How do Low Losers solve Silent Hill game puzzles? Gamefaqs? |
