Which he arguably is, but, if so, men like Robert E. Lee and Winston Churchill were a hell of a lot further from apes than pretty much anyone living today is.
Churchill himself recognized this when he said "in the end, we are all just worms, but I do believe that I am a glow worm."
The good thing about history is that you can choose to mentally live in eras like theirs instead of this utter joke of an historical era in which we find ourselves now. |
