and heres the typical pipeline for turds:
enter on F-1 visa (valid as long as they are in scohol + extra three years upon graduation). If they do undergrad in america and then grad school and then work they can get like 9 years this way, they can get 5 years if grad school only (4 yrs + 1 year OPT + 2 years MS + 3 years STEM OPT).
During that work period after their master's degree they enter the H-1B lottery several times and get selected. H-1B is good for 3 years, renewable for 3 more, for a total of 6 years. Now they are up to between 11-15 years, still "temporary."
But employers can file for a green card, and once they do that they can renew the "temporary" H-1B for beyond 6 years. So there's turds that have been in USA for as long as they've been in India and they have careers and families and established lives in ethnic enclaves in Alpharetta, Plano, pretty much wherever they want, all while being "temporary" workers just waiting around until they become permanent residents |
